Washington Office on Latin America/Andean Information Network

Across the Americas, the incarceration rate for non-violent drug offences are disproportionately damaging to poor women and their families. Working with the Washington Office on Latin America and the Andean Information Network, I entered the San Sebastian Women’s Prison to document the story of ‘Nayeli’, a single mother living in the prison with her young son.

Upside Down World

Upside Down World is one of the most important resources for news on activism and politics in Latin America. I created this photo essay showing the two sides of the #F21 referendum vote in Bolivia, where the citizens voted by a narrow margin against giving President Evo Morales a chance to run for an additional presidential term in 2019.
